Finding My Passion: My Journey in Photography and Art

From the first time I picked up a camera in secondary school, I knew I had found something special. Photography quickly became more than just a hobby—it was a passion, a form of expression that allowed me to see the world differently and capture it in my own unique way. This passion led me to Falmouth University, where I pursued and completed a Bachelor of Art (honours) in Photography. Those years were transformative, helping me refine my skills and discover my true niche in the world of photography.

While at Falmouth, I found myself drawn to editorial and fashion-style portraits. There’s something incredibly exciting about bringing the ideas in my head to life through photography. The process is as creative as it is technical—designing sets in the studio, selecting the perfect wardrobe for my model, and then bringing it all together through careful post-production editing. I love seeing a concept evolve from a spark of inspiration to a finished photograph that tells a story.

What I enjoy most about my work is the creative control. I find immense satisfaction in crafting every element of the shot, from the style of the model to the lighting and the overall composition. Each session is a new challenge, an opportunity to push my creative boundaries and explore new ways of expressing my vision.

As I continue to grow as a photographer, I’m excited to keep expanding my knowledge and skills, always striving to capture the perfect shot that truly conveys the ideas in my head. The journey has been incredible so far, and I look forward to seeing where my passion for photography will take me next.
