Echoes of Art

In my final year at Falmouth University, I embarked on a project that defined my personal style and creative journey in photography. This project was inspired by the works of renowned artists like Gustav Klimt and Jean-Honoré Fragonard, using their paintings as a foundational springboard for my own visual explorations.

Rather than creating exact replicas of their art, my aim was to reinterpret these masterpieces through my own perspective, emotions, and modern sensibilities. This approach allowed me to present their themes in a contemporary editorial style, blending historical inspiration with current visual trends.

Additionally, I developed my technical skills by studying the techniques of renowned photographers such as Horst, Richard Avedon, and Cecil Beaton. By examining their approaches to set design, lighting, and character portrayal, I enhanced my ability to elevate my work. This project reflects my journey of integrating these techniques into my own style, resulting in a collection that showcases both my appreciation for classical art and my growth as a modern photographer.

The result is a diverse collection of images, each reflecting different aspects of the original artworks while showcasing my personal interpretation. This series not only highlights my appreciation for classical art but also demonstrates my ability to translate these influences into a cohesive, modern photographic narrative.
